Biography

Tommy Dill has been perfecting his modern composing style for the past 13 years. He has worked on a wide variety of projects, from production libraries to independent films. Tommy is also an accomplished guitar player and songwriter and has performed with and produced for several musicians and bands.

After graduating from the Guitar Institute of Technology program at Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, Tommy further developed his composing skills through internships. His first was with 5.1 Entertainment, where he learned in the ins and outs of 5.1 surround recording. His second was at Silkscreen Music, working under renowned film and tv composer Jeff Rona. Tommy assisted Jeff with several of his scores including Traffic: The Miniseries, The Thin Red Line and his own Liquid Cinema production library. From there, Tommy started writing music for the renowned Universal Music production library Killer Tracks, on compilations such as Epic Sports and Youth Fest.

Since then, Tommy has continued to work on music for several production libraries, short films, and corporate promos.  His music has been played on several networks such as ABC, ESPN, Fox, The Disney channel, Discovery, Telemundo etc. Tommy is  also the staff composer for VIA, a full service marketing and Video production company based out of Fort Collins, CO. IN addition to composing, Tommy still finds time to  perform around Los Angeles with his bands, Lily and the Lion, A.G.E.S. and T+A Live.
